Here are some of the links that I have been harvesting and cultivating over the weekend. Depending on how things go today, I may append some more links later.
- Congrats go out to Mark as paper versions of Dive Into Python start to circulate. I just bought my copy from Bookpool. It’ll be here in a few days. If I wasn’t cheap, I would have picked it up through his Amazon link so that he snagged a referral commission too.
- Gateway is giving away high end Wi-Fi access points when you buy a server from them.
- The new iPods appear to be drool-worthy enough.
- PocketPC Thoughts: New version of OpenNETCF Smart Device Framework.
- The Unnoficial Apple Weblog recounts a list of indispensable OS X products. Blue Phone Menu would be a must in my book.
- Ted Leung shares some Mac tips and tricks.
- Root Prompt points to a Cumbria LUG article about GNU Screen. Screen is probably one of the best kept secrets in the Linux world.
- The Server Side brings news that JBoss 4 is now J2EE Certified.
- Sandler turns 1.0 for all of your Atom parsing needs in Java.
Here’s that update I promised:
- CNet: Zend is opening an office in the US, and for good reason
- Desktop OS reviews ELX. They like it, sorta. It has some issues though.
- Newsforge tells us why Mono is important. Jon Udell interviews Miguel about Avalon.
- Fool.com thinks out loud about Nokia.
- Ooh! Via jaseb, RegExLib rules!
- The first Pocket PC “virus” is just as lame as the first Symbian “virus.”
- News from the Cambrian period: Verizon has shipped the Treo 600. It’s also too expensive.
- MacCentral notes that incoming Duke students will be offered a 4g iPod.
- Pocket PC Thoughts notes the release of the latest Handango Yardstick [pdf].
- OSDir links to an excellent review of Slackware 10.
- Gentoo on OSX is sick. And beutiful.
